For those of you who are members of the fanfiction.net network, I advise you to filter out stories for May and Drew, you'd actually find out that these two are the most shipped couple there (Rollyn also happens to be a contest shipper). May is less compatible with Ash and even if those two miraculously get together somehow, they'll separate instantly. I think we should accept them as a brother & sister type rather than being love birds. This is mostly due to their similarities such as having the same Pokémon, having the same interest of foods and being extremely naive.
Most people who ship Ash and May take these similarities as a couple thingie where as they are not to be together at all. Having the same Pokémon means admiring somebody's skill and wanting to follow their foot-steps, not because you love them -__- The student-mentor relation is also a theory used by many anti-Advance shippers and lets not forget the young and highly skilled Max(people use him like the second Lyra in FF's which is highly annoying and OOC), who happens to be in rebellion with his sister. Using the theory of them being 'similar' to each other is a trump card to be used by us for proving that they are brother and sister in different aspects :3
Her return in Kalos is highly likely due to:
