Serena being a lovestruck fan-girl and Ash ignoring her...how the hell does that create a threat to pearl? Ash pays no mind to what Serena does where as he used to question Dawn's every decision, showing that he is concerned about the bluenette's well being.

But as pearlshippers we should be a tiny tiny tiny but jealous of the amazing Advanceshipping fanart. If only there was a way to convert them eh?  I think that the vast contrast between DP and XY may have meant more people stayed with Pearlshipping |

Yeah, but there is no way in hell that the Advancers or any other supporters of anti-pearl ships can compare to the pearlshipping fanfiction. Our authors are well litrate and are amazing people. All hail the greatness of Pearl \(^O^)/

I think if XY came after DP then Serena wouldn't have so many fans. A huge reason why people even loved Serena so much is that Iris was a disappointing character. A lot of fans found Serena a big improvement over Iris. Serena's traits are similar to Dawn's so if she came right after Dawn, then most people (well some people already have) would have dismissed her as a terrible copy of her. Also Amourshipping would not be promoted so much since the writers used that to gain ratings after BW failed to achieve high ratings.
I agree with Black. Advanceshipping does have good fanart, but Pearl fanfiction is the best.

I agree with Sakura. She has some really points.
I Really think if Amour came before it ruin the whole Anime. Acutally a Lot. Everyone would think Serena's some dawn clone - That I Agree with. Which would give low ratings for the Show.

I don't get why Serena was introduced as a female protogonist in the X and Y series :T She is more of a side character who makes her debut in a movie and leaves.
