Since it was announced that a new Pokémon series would be set in all regions even though it would still be set in mostly Galar.
I think itâs possible that Satoshi wins the Alola league, becomes champion of Alola and maybe thereâs a lead in mini arc for introducing Galar.
That means I think they can be promoting several games and Pokémon Masters all at once. In addition it was in DP when the Champions Cup was first mentioned.
Maybe this time Hikari and Pochama can finally make a return.
There would be new information for the last week of September.

I'm waiting for September, 29 too. This information was interesting to know. And I agree about Satoshi winning the Alola League.

Now that Satoshi wins the Alola league, and the high possibility for Hikari and Pochama returning in Gen 8.... actually Hikari’s Pochama is the reason why Pochama is the most popular cutest starter in Japan. The question remains whether Satoshi becomes Champion of the Alola region to participate in the Champion’s Cup. If Hikari does return to Gen 8, it could be at the beginning of Galar or in the middle when Sinnoh gets introduced. Part of me wishes one of the leaks (which contain many half truths) was real concerning Gigantamax Pochama and Pikachu.

I have a feeling that the Galar series will be the final series of the anime.
Points why: 1. The series will have the same prefix as the first one (Pocket Monsters). It would be a complete cycle of narration. 2. The series' events will happen in all the previous regions. It would be the only aggregation and continuation of what happened in all the previous series. 3. The series will be the 8th. It has either symbolic and substantial meanings. In all regions except Alola trainers had to collect 8! badges to compete in leagues. If Galar region has a champion, it would complete the Champions League with 8 participants, making the knock-out stage ready.

I think since Satoshi is technically champion of Alola, he is qualified for the Champions League. So the traveling to other regions means that he has to contend with the other champions. In Alola, unlike in previous series, is when we see Satoshi get to grow up and develop to the point he rightfully earned the title of Champion. Galar region does have a champion right now but who knows what the story would end up like. Let’s hope Satoshi defeats Professor Kukui because so far Satoshi never managed to defeat him so a full six on six battle would determine the future.

I do not think being champion of Alola makes him eligible for the Champions League because it was in a different format. If he is eligible then the analogy would be like registering the champion of a Futsal cup into UEFA Champions League.

Take his Sinnoh SF against Takuto with legendaries...

According to at least two leaks:
One is that Sinnoh starters, only the first unevolved forms get Gigantamax forms.
Another leak is that Pochama gets a new Gigantamax form.
If it is true, then it’s likely that Hikari would return to promote Pochama.
