To be fair, I don't check the comments on Youtube videos for these reasons. I had "duels" with these Poke trolls since 2009. They'll never quit. I hope Ice Arceus can help you . Her(the Pokeshipper's arguments are pretty weak.

1. fighting does not mean that you arn't in love that would mean ash would also be in love with brock. Ash and misty Belligerent Sexual Tension, and besides lots of couples. fighting does not mean that you don't like/love each other. may and drew alway fought but are probrally the most cannon ship with a main character.


True. Fighting doesn't mean you aren't in love. Question. Do they argue as a bridge for them to be accompanied by one another? Or, do they love to argue because... they love to argue? Regardless of the size of the issue.

From the first episode and episode 3 of Classics Pokémon, in the original (Japanese version), we see Misty slapping Ash.

What in the world was that all about? Was that really justified? Ash was a beginning trainer. It's expected for him to be this less developed, and you think attacking him this harshly would speed up his process? Heck, Ash was about to reflect all that hatred he took from Misty if it weren't from Team Rocket's intervention. I do wonder how would Ash handle this if the distraction didn't show up. Plus, this is taking from Tomioka's 1st episode during the Pokémon series.


2. Maybe because it would be incredible out of character for misty, may, iris or serena to dress up like a cheerleader. And how does ash never lost once, do you forget roark, paul, fantina, tobias and probraly some more rivals. plus any normal human being would find what dawn did extreemly embaresing. plus she is kind of a attention whore.


Whores are people that strictly rely on consuming attention for their own personal gain, regardless of a scenario.

Dawn dressed as cheerleader strictly for Ash's support. That's her main intention. Otherwise, she would have cheered non-stop. Which a whore would do. Did she do that?


5. heard high touch and read the lyric and if annything it more sounded like a friendship song then annything is. i saw nothing in it


It IS a friendship song. It's the main point of Pokémon. Plus, that song reflects Ash and Dawn's friendship shown WAY before this song existed.


7. But it clearly shows that pikachu (no mather how much i ship them) doesn't like buneary that way and feels uncomfterble with it. and if that where the case. pikachu liked misty extreemly soon in the serie to the point it refused to battle her and wanted to stay with her. at the start pikachu liked misty much more then he liked ash.


Discomfort? Sure. It's the first step of entering romance after all. It's not an easy territory to enter. Embarassment towards peers and unsure how to handle it. Pikachu in the beginning had a thing for girls. Not just Misty, but towards her 3 sisters. He has no problem expressing his likes. He has confusion on how to express if he's being liked when it comes to female Pokémon. Or Magnemite. Kind of.


9. of course they love pokemons why would they become Pokémon trainers if they didn't love them all of ash friends love pokemons (except for may but she grew to love them). kenny was created to become a love intrest kind of like may/drew but it failed so they just abonded it. and serena is mostly a childhood friend for shiptease and to give her a reason to travel with ash. and besides if annything ash and misty have a lot more in comon: both a compatetive, both are hotheads, both are the underdogs to someone els who slowly comes to respect them (gary, misty sisters). both were the first characters that had a walking Pokémon with them, that they (almost) had to release and both insulted each other while still being best friends. dawns and ash friendship seems fake, and so overly nice.


Dawn and Ash are competitive yet also supportive to one another. Both are headstrong trainers who will most likely move forward to succeed in their goals. Dawn is also an underdog, being the daughter of a well-known Coordinator and tries to be equal or surpass her mother.

Misty may be competitive, but... I don't see much progress from her during Classics series and Johto series. Only one I know of is that Whirlpool Tournament and that took this much episodes since the beginning just for her to gain progress?

You can't like each other if you're not nice to each other. Ash and Misty's many displays of bratty arguments seem to be overdoing the relationship. Ash and Dawn, I see a balance. They argue, yet they support.




now my hints:
1. Pikachu liked misty exctreemly early. by episode 3 he allready was sad when he tought she left and didn't mind staying with ash. and even i had to admit that misty wasn't the most pleasent person to be around at the start. plus pikachu didn't really met misty until the end at episode 2 while before he shocked a intiere town. since he was unconsious. in episode 7 he even refused to fight her. is always exctreemly happy to see her and listens to her perfectly without ash even telling him to do so. and since Pokémon reflect there trainers emotions and pikachu is his best friend that must mean something.


One problem. Pokémon and trainer "become one" WHILE they journey and train together. The part about Pikachu not wishing to battle against Misty during the Cerulean Gym was Pikachu's own decision. You don't get a Pokémon and then it instantly becomes one of the trainer (reflecting emotions from its master). It doesn't work that way. Heck, Pikachu had no problems fighting Misty again (that Totodile episode).


2. They are always there do defend each other honor when it is serious, when misty was shatterd because of that gissele won ash decided to get angry at giselle and beat her himself and in misty turn he tried to cheer him up a lot of times and even went out of her way to scream at ritchie infront of milions of people on telefision because she taught ritchie sabotaged him. (that is shows a lot more then a cheerleader outfit)


Ash VS Giselle, this seem to be from Ash's own personal opinion than just defending Misty. He thinks Giselle sees Pokémon as tools and not Pokémon. Heck, she punked Joe for his low progress. Levels and facts don't matter if you got spirit and out-of-the-box ideas, which it was displayed really nicely.

Misty's support is pretty limited. If it doesn't work out, she does what she does best: yell the ears out of them. Misty kicking Richie is pretty much expected, knowing her tempermental personality. Heck, after she knew the truth, she still stays on that bench instead of say going to Officer Jenny for assistance. Misty and Dawn show their support their own way. Don't ignore acknowledgement of the many varieties of life.


3. Misty liked someone that is cleary by the cronicels in which she said there was someone els. and since she said to melody that ash is her burden and decided not to marry rudy (even tought she liked him) to stay with ash. is it for atleast 90% if not 100% that misty likes ash even without dubbing.


Acknowledging those hints, why was Misty not present at the end of the BW series? Why was this relationship not pursued continually?

*sigh* One-side love. Such innocence hiding such terror.


4. jelousy. misty has been incredible jelous when a girl gets to close to ash like melody, bianca, giselle, macy, even a nurse joy. the same with ash he was jelous of danny and fiorello and also was anoyed by rudy.


Wait. Nurse Joy? Which episode?

You sure Ash isn't annoyed that he's not being the center of attention? I mean, he struggled and succeeded in something, but he felt ignored.


5. a lot of people seem to notice the romantic releation ship tenison between the two of them. like misty's sister, melody, rudy, danny, nurse joy, tracey, macy, team rocket, brock (sometimes), pikachu and even psyduck.


... sure. "Romantic relationship tension". Why not?


6. blushing, they have a lot of blushing with each other. mostly when someone thinks they like each other. but also a other times like when ash sees misty all prettied up there even with a romantic backround and everything like with festifals (they never did that when ash was looking at someone els). and even when misty gave ash hints like in Wherefore Art Thou, Pokémon?.


There was a lot of blushing? Hmm. List the episodes if you please.


7. misty asked ash to dance and he excepted. i know they did something similar in dp but dawn refused. plus ash was more like lets have fun with dawn while misty even holds out his hand for him to take it, which he did.


And that lead to Ash and Misty dancing with eveyone else in the crowd instead of dancing within themselves.


8. Ash was exctreemly sad when misty left him he even cried after she left. and he never did the same for may, max, dawn, iris or cilan. while misty was the only one forced to leave the rest could choose to stay but didn't. misty had responsibilities that she had to do, plus she was extreemly upset to leave


Ash cried when Misty AND Brock separated from him. It wasn't believed they would reunite again and... then we get Brock back in the AG group and... that extra quest with Misty during the AG series. Even then, their first reunion could have been done better.


9. after misty left ash show to have all his knowledge of romance. when misty was there he could still understand that butterfree was in love, he could found a girl pretty and relized when someone liked him. after she left he lost those traids he didnt even relize that may (before she met drew), angie, anabel and serena all liked him. heck in the cottonee episode ash didn't even know what romantic love is just tought of them a supe good friends.


Wait. I kind of got the Butterfree part (he did question the dancing part from his Butterfree), but which episodes had him realize he was being liked? I got that he liked Giselle until he saw her... witchy part, but other than that, which else?


10. ash and misty worry more about each other then annyone als for instead in one episode misty and pikachu get split of with the rest ash only seems to worry about misty while he is carriyng togepi (not brock who is a Pokémon breader) and when misty and brock are hurt it is always misty to who he goes or thinks of first like with the squirtle squad and the giant Pokémon island. misty is even willing to jump of a cliff for ash as shown in the jappenese trailer from Pokémon 2000 and she was a lot sadder to leave ash then she was to leave brock. and when ash and tracey was sick, ash was her main focus. plus in the ghost tower episode brock says that they should hold hands so they wont lose each other. ash and misty only hold hands with eachoter while brock is being ignored.


Propaganda at its best. Trailers will always be trailers and will not show ALL the scenes for the actual movie. About Ash and Misty holding hands in that Tower or Terror episode, they were closeby so it was more likely they would succeed in holding hands and Brock wasn't able to due to the thicker fog that splashed at the group's faces.


11. ash is ecxtreemly protective of misty's lure since he wouldn't even let dawn tough it, and they even started to fight over it when she didn't give up on it. and he was really happy to recieve it and extreemly relieved when he got it back and it was till okay.


I suppose it is the episode where Ash and Dawn has not completely trust each other. Then again, it's 1 of the earlier episodes of DP, so of course there'll be issues like that. Ash keeps his possessions in check. It would be kind of dull if their banter wasn't present here. Gives more depth to them and strengthens their communication.

I laugh whenever someone says Ash cried for Misty solely. He cried for Misty AND Brock, because they were his first real friends. He initialy believed that they would never reunite after the Johto Saga. When debating with Youtube PokeShipper trolls, it's best not to display any sort of emotion.

I was wondering something. Can we have a thread to counter PokeShipping arguments against Pearl?  It would be great if we could be prepared for these debates against rival shippers. Using the thread counters would be useful for newer pearlshippers, who get confronted on YouTube, which is notorious for Pokeshipper trolls.
