Other shippers say that Ash and Dawn's multiple high fives throughout aren't hints. They say that since high fives aren't romantic, high fives therefore cannot be considered hints.
High fives may not be romantic, but they help prove that Ash and Dawn have the strongest friendship and bond. Most shippers don't deny that, so I'm not even going to say why. Some may call Pearlshipping mere speculation. Compared to certain people on the girls' side, maybe. But Ash's 'romantic feelings' are speculation for all Ash shippers. High Touch, however, shows Ash favoring Dawn over anyone in the past or future. That's my interpretation.
Because of the high fives combined with High Touch, we know Dawn has the closest friendship with Ash out of all the female companions. Ash and Dawn basically have the closest relationship. And that's all we need. Ash could care less about romance at this moment of time. And when he does care, he should pick the girl he loves the most and has the best relationship with.

Yeah. Like romance is THE thing to equate to love. How has that worked out for everyone? Hmm?!
I forget which thread around here I said this, but High Touch is Ash and Dawn's symbol. Those who have seen the DP series know how both of them reached this level of friendship.

High fives them selves arent hints, I personally think.
But what Ash and Dawn can create level of friendship that lead to a real relationship.

But you're right; their unmatched relationship can lead to a real one.

Too bad some viewers just see the high five alone.
They don't see their interactions, that build their relationship.

In PearlShipping, you can't even base on hints themselves, as I have said in previous chances. You must live the interaction everyday... anyway, yes, the high fives are hints. And whoever says no is, like, clearly biased. They are a strong symbol of their bond that even goes through the whole generation... the first is in DP011, then they repeat the gesture VOLUNTARILY so many times, up to DP191. Then, again, in Best Wishes, they haven't forgot about it. High fiving is for them a way to show their closeness and harmony, their bond. How can this not be a hint?
I repeat, whoever says this is surely biased. It's not that hard to recognize a hint, from your shipping or not.

I agree so much with the interaction part. Hints can be interpretated differently, depending on the situation, and without the everyday interaction, they can also feel forced. But the interaction, especially over a long time period doesn't lie. And that's what most of life is about, not the romance stuff or dangerous situations. It's so ridiculously easy to add hints to those, but portraying a healthy relationship with so much potential is a lot harder.

Interactions matter. It's the nature the high fives are in that counts

I agree 100% Symbol > no symbol.People may argue that their constant high fives aren't hints, but does their ship have a symbol like ours?In the Japanese version of "Mounting a Corrdiantor's Assault",when Satoshi (Ash) and Hikari (Dawn) high five, the whole screen is white, showing only their clapping of hands, and the only thing that can be heard it a loud clap.

Even if others have high fived with Ash, I guess Ash and Dawn still had the most high fives together. The fact that Ash and Dawn are constantly that close together is an advantage. It's like their relationship is already there.
