For the Pokémon series, only time can tell what will happen to older characters, and time eventually told a future for Orangeshipping. Though Tracey and Misty denied being a couple in favor of "just friends", their increasing closeness to each other was undeniable in Pokémon Chronicles. With all the time between AG and BW, the two would have got even closer in all that time. The real kicker is at the end of BW where Misty and Tracey are absent from Ash's arrival. This shows that at this point, Tracey is with Misty so much that he even missed Ash's one day arrival in Pallet. He didn't even come back the next day. I even think they knew he was coming back because of the Decolora island travels; they chose not to consider Ash. Besides, Ash isn't the same as he was in OS; it would be best for Misty to be with Tracey.

I always shipped Misty with Tracey. Sometimes Gary.

You should watch (assumed you didn't, I am probably wrong) the Orange Islands series and especially Pokémon Chronicles. I think the series in general at the time would've still been Pokeshipping anyways...

They must be close now since Tracey basically visits her almost every week. That show that Tracey really cares. Plus Tracey would be much more supportive to Misty than Ash due to his character.
