She freaking changed my views on Pokémon in a very positive way. Now, with her not in the cast and her reaching for her destiny, I don't feel it in Pokémon anymore (as I did back in DP). Simple as that. Now, with Serena in the cast, I feel Pokémon just degraded itself.
So make it happen writers. Return, H.I.K.A.R.I., she is Pokémon's Light. I mean, come on?!
What's even the meaning of 'Serena'?
Edit: Bulbapedia conclude it as a derivation from 'serene'. And we know that 'serene' means 'calm, quiet'. This doesn't even fit her in the first place, and the meaning is not even deep as Hikari, not even close, *SMH*. Hikari is just a plain beautiful name.
And besides, the name Hikari sounds far better with Satoshi (both Japanese), than Serena and Satoshi (only Satoshi is Japanese), if we would think with less logic, lol.

Well the name "Serena" is actually a nice name, but she doesn't deserve a nice name like that. Hikari is the light in Satoshi's life. Things would heat up if Hikari makes a cameo. -Smiles-  |

Serena may have derived from Serene but 'Hikari' means light or sunrise. In Latin, light means Aurora. This means 'the goddess of sunrise' in Roman mythology.
I don't think Serena can beat that =p
