Well, PokeShipping was always dead to me. I (note that I was a child) at first thought Ash was a girl for a few days of my life until the Giselle girl came around. PokeShipping never appealed to me. Even after realizing Ash was a boy, Misty never intrigued me. It just looked like they fought every minute. She had her chance at romance, and she blew it. Face it Pokeshippers, PokeShipping is dead and it is because of AmourShippings and its popularity. It's unfortunate, because after rewatching the original series, I actually prefer PokeShipping over AmourShipping. Not over PearlShipping, of course. I'm not bandwagoning. That's the worst thing a shipper can do. PearlShipping will always and will be my first OTP, but it's unfortunate to see such a strong ship like PokeShipping sink because of such a bland ship like AmourShipping. Most of the Pokeshippers may be crazy and possessive of their ship, but they had such great fans and they just bandwagoned onto AmourShipping. THAT'S what got me upset.

I hate poke and amour equally  Can't decide which one is worse lol. Although to be fair, at least some of the pokeshippers have finally given up on their nostalgia and realised that pokeshipping is finally dead. |

By the end of BW, Prof. Oak announced the fate of ships in the Pokeverse and it became over in an instant. Pokémon Chronicles was major proof of this despite the fact that they said they were just friends and Misty still had her crush. What? Please explain this I don't understand |

Also, I really don't think pokeshipping is dead. I just don't think they have nearly as many opportunities to cameo misty. They easily could have in "the worst togepi in history" and "dawn of a royal day" but they didn't....? Which confused me.... yet, dawn was cameo'd in that xy episode that showed a piplup for like 10 seconds?? And iris and may haven't had a cameo at all? May hasn't had one since dp and the ending of BW doesn't really count imo... but misty did appear in the charizard flashback which was cool.
Oh! misty, along with may and Tracey, wasfeatured in a bw intro and a dp intro, despite not actually having a cameo or appearance.
They're trying really hard to bring misty back but they just don't have the material to do it. And on the note, I'm pretty sure that XY dawn cameo was basically forced. Mainly just to tell the pearl and dawn fans that she hasn't been forgotten about.
I'm thinking that after Iris's cameo, misty (and even may) is gonna get some sort of cameo afterwords, because they wouldn't let the fandom forget about the original pokegirl.

Hmm, if they wanted to bring Misty back I'm pretty sure they'd be able to bring her back. I mean, they WRITE the show. They could just manipulate the episodes to bring about a good situation to bring her back. The only reason she's not back is because the writers, or the majority of the writers, don't want her back (yet?) at this point.

Do you remember the last episode where Ash is wondering where Tracey is? He's with Misty in Cerulean City - you can imagine how much time they spent together after Ash left for Hoenn. People think Misty and Tracey must have become far closer together than Pokeshipping between AG and BW. |
