Although Misty isn't here anymore and won't be coming back in the foreseeable future, pokeshipping will never die. It will always have followers (like me) and will always be my favorite ship, as it is for many other people. And about amourshipping, it is completely one sided. Serena has a crush on Ash, thats it! Thats all that ship will ever be, a one sided crush that is going nowhere. So true about Amourshipping- I never thought I'd agree with a Pokeshipper. Of course, by this thread, we mean Pokeshipping in the anime and not the fanbase itself. It's great to see how loyal you are to your ship. |

Even though I dislike pokeshipping, if you can remain a dedicated shipper even years after Misty left and the hype of Amourshipping, kudos to you.

Even if their Pokeshipping hints weren't canon to the original, the 4Kids dubbing of the Original Series made Pokémon truly nostalgic and magical.

Well people weren't expecting for the writers to change the main female protagonist. They didn't realize that Pokémon isn't like any other western cartoon, so they were clinging to the belief that Ash and Misty will end up together. As they got older, the nostalgia caused them to despise any girl/ship other than Misty/pokeshipping.

Amour doesn't mean much against Poke though, honestly. Misty still has more experience with Ash than Serena likely ever will. And her friendship, at this point, clearly means far more to Ash than Serena's does. He'd never say that, but considering how they really got on (sometimes...) as friends as opposed to just kind of being there together, I'd easily say the former knows him better. |
