I just went and read a FF today about the very first episode of the very first Pokémon series. It brings back lots of childhood memories I had in the past, of how ash was so selfless to protect pikachu from the spearows... And how he saw ho-oh. Dunno if you guys remember that but I think it was really a nostalgic moment for me. Thought I share it with you all.

I loved that episode too. I grew up with the original series so to me there's so much nostalgia. I loved the bit where he saw ho-oh and made me wonder what that bird was for so long!

To this day, I still cannot understand why Ho-oh was never put in for DP movie 4.

Yeah! They must have forgotten about it. Same here! I grew up watching the original series rewatching them again and again. Can't believe I was so hooked up on Pokémon then. But after the original series, I just stopped.

I wonder too when they will show Ho-Oh again, it must play a prominent and vital role, and also in Satoshi's journey (seeing Ho-Oh again with his companions during AG's BF and reminiscing during DP).
OS was good in the beginning, but it became terrible later on in my opinion. DP showed Pokémon at its full potential to be honest.

Even XY lacks the characterization DP pushed to the max; there really aren't that many rivals or recurring characters so far.

DP had so much diversity: Gym Battles, Contests, Hikari's development, Satoshi's development, Hikari and Satoshi's development together, strong storyline, so many prominent rivals for both Hikari and Satoshi and so on..
What do we have in XY so far? The aspects mentioned above already began early on when the DP-series started, XY doesn't and at the looks of now, I'm sure many aspects will stay quite undeveloped.

I grew up watching AG and watching any episode brings back nostaliga. But I loved the DP series.Unlike a certain type of shipper,I don't ship because I grew up with that character. So Remmber the time when May and Max used to fight over the place they wanted to go.May useley wanted to go to a restaurant (Ahh,May is awesome) and Max wanted to go to scientific places or places with battling.Or the time of the the evil Togepi in Sinnoh?
