Yeah, I never saw it as that. Matter of fact it's nearly the other way around. I've seen all of the anime for both seasons, but from what I've been seeing, I don't think when they came in matters. For me it's the actions and reactions to a variety of situations. So order doesn't matter as much as it should to me.

Dawn is NOT a rip off of may. Sure they have the same goal but they're still very different characters. Dawn was the one girl that knew exactly what her goal was and actually stuck to it from day one despite the hardships, unlike iris and misty who got side tracked and weren't very insistant on their goal. May didn't really care at first. Then, as she progressed and developed, she started caring more. I always thought that dawn did it better because of her passion that may lacked. Dawn had her mom, zoey, her losing streak, the entirety of ambipom, mamoswine's disobedience, Ursula using plusle and minun that one time just to piss her off.... the list goes on about dawn's hard ships. And she still kept with it. An old post I know, but it is worth noting that Dawn did seriously consider giving up contests at one point. |
