May came before Dawn, Dawn is just a ripoff of May.
This is a common and very popular remark made by many Dawn critics. Not just Advanceshippers, but other shippers as well, notably Pokeshippers. It is obviously because Dawn is also a coordinator and the switch to TPCi that many fans disagree about. Usually a remark such as this one is more about the pokegirls themselves but Ash can sometimes be tied in. There are things that some (not all) older shippers
cannot see that set Dawn apart due to bias or nostalgia. Well nostalgia is different for everyone, but bias is really something else. Saying that May is better just because she came first is all just emotion. It wouldn't be the same if Dawn came first, now would it?
This is how I feel when people say that May is better than Dawn for coming first. This also refers to those saying "the show sucked" after AG, but oh well. At least Ash had actual rivals in DP (no May's rivals didn't make up for the rivals Ash didn't have, except for Advanceshipping of course)
