satohika I only had to lean my upper body forward. My legs were straight, as per the video. But that would imply the escalator wasn't moving but she did on a moving escalator because the moment she leaned in, the escalator was moving to the back. And Ash had to position himself slightly to the back. Serena basically lost her balance and stumbled and Ash had to hold her in place so she doesn't fall. It was due to the wrong timing or she chose not to kiss Ash. I edited my post to include the escalator part. As for her being a bit shy and blushing afterwards, as a girl, if I had kissed a guy for the first time I don't think I'd be totally confident and not blushing. I'd be like "did I really just do that?"

I'd be like "did I really just do that?" I mean someone tried to reenact the kiss in real life. It just was unlikely for Serena to make contact with Ash. She may have been close enough to his face but probably made a mistake due to bad timing or something. Considering Serena's front face was obscured by the back of Ash's head I can see why the rest of the gang had that expression. I mean they're characters in a series, I don't think one can apply themselves in real life to judge how a character acts. Because either way, Serena kissing Ash would have been out of character for her.

satohika I saw that video a while ago. One also has to make allowances for anime physics. Serena wouldn't look that satisfied at the end if their faces were just really close. Also, her feet showed no signs of stumbling throughout the kiss sequence. In fact she showed impeccable balance. If she stumbled then one foot would step forward quite quickly with a noticeable gap.

If she was satisfied, it could be anything that have made her satisfied at the end, she could have even pranked or just had fun with Ash. Maybe she got the chance to have her face as close to Ash's before she finally gets to leave. Considering that they're not going to see each other for a while, so it's the last time Serena gets to do something with Ash. Ash also had very little reaction at the end, because he didn't get bashful or anything over it when he was while he had to learn how to dance with Aria. Because he got embarrassed over that, why couldn't he become even more bashful over Serena kissing him? I don't even know, normally Amourshippers would make the argument that Serena kissed Ash, but I don't think so. Even if it does rely upon anime tropes and cliches, the staff is still trolling everyone.

Why else would she be blushing and feel embarrassed? Because if she did feel so confident in kissing Ash, she wouldn't feel that way afterwards. I mean they're characters in a series, I don't think one can apply themselves in real life to judge how a character acts. Because either way, Serena kissing Ash would have been out of character for her. I believe "because if she did feel so confident in kissing Ash, she wouldn't feel that way afterwards" is a similar real life assumption.

Don't get me wrong, at the end of the day I'd rather she didn't kiss Ash, just so Amour is further away from being canon.

Don't get me wrong, at the end of the day I'd rather she didn't kiss Ash, just so Amour is further away from being canon. But she likely didn't, as nothing in terms of her character development states that she revealed her love to Ash. She was basically pranking or having fun with Ash at the very last moment. What she said to Ash wasn't a love confession at all since she is still hiding her true thoughts about Ash to him.

Well, that was, like, the last episode and we don't know how her character develops after that because there's no new material. I will keep assuming she kissed him until a scene is shown to prove otherwise. I don't mind at all if you disagree with me on this. I'm just stating it'll take more solid evidence to convince me she didn't.

Is it that big of a deal if she kissed him tough? I mean maybe if Ash had blushed I would be like "Oh apparently amour is really close to canon, they are really going down that route" , but that didn't happen he just looked at her with googly eyes (wich can mean LOTS of things).
I don't think we will never know what happened, unless of course, someone from the writing staff of the episode explains it...

I still don't think it's safe to make any assumptions about the series. But I will say there is equally as much evidence for a claim that Serena didn't kiss Ash at all because this scene is open to any interpretation. That scene doesn't constitute 'solid evidence' for a kiss.
