Here's an argument used by Pokeshippers. In the original series, Ash was less oblivious to romance and love related topics. But in every series onward, he was more dense about such things.
How does this relate to Pokeshipping? Well, this claim says that the only time Ash wasn't as dense was when Misty was around. This leads Pokeshippers to say that Ash would most likely choose Misty. In a romantic sense, everyone else wouldn't matter because he was too dense in those other series.
What would you say to this argument? I'd like assistance on this.

Please. Ash was equally as dense before as he is now. We got the website containing the alterations of certain "hints" of Gakishipping and those dialogue changes are only the 4kids changes.
In the original works, some of his hints were actually him wanting encouragement from his peers. The 4kids dub splashed in jealousy tones for their enjoyment, just to reinforce the Ash/Misty pair further.
IMO, it's kind of dumb, considering that it looks like she's NO LONGER AROUND IN THE SERIES!!!!!

The type of things they meant were like Ash understanding his Butterfree trying to find love. In the episodes 'Three Sides to Every Story' and 'For the Love of Meowth', he couldn't understand those situations. Ash also knew what marriage was in OS when Misty said Brock was going to get married. Then again, those might be the only examples OS has. I'm not sure if Ash understood the Dustox in 'Crossing Paths' in DP.
Even if she returned to the series or met up with Ash again, I guess Ash would still stay dense.
So the 4Kids made Ash 'not dense'?

Who knows? I believe Ash is still dense like always. That fact has not changed since the beginning. And I have to agree with mew151. Pokeshippers should move on. Their ship was sunken when it was announced Misty will not be returning as main, only small cameos.

I agree but the sad fact is, pokeshippers just refuse to move on. They just won't except anything else or listen to us or any other shipping group.
Overall I don't think ash is that dense. He's dense but not as dense as people make him out to be. Dawn was dense to along with Ash. That's why there were less romantic hints for it but hints that supported there bond for one another. Hope that made sense.

Their argument doesn't really make sense. Even if he was less dense back then, he wasn't interested in Misty so why should he do it now that he's supposed to be even more dense? One might even wonder why he lost interest in girls after traveling with her...

Also, Pokeshippers really are next to Amourshippers when it comes to intelligence in my personal opinion. All based on personal experience with them. They're also huge hypocrites. They believe they're the rational ones, and saying how we as Pearlshippers only rant about how Ash and Dawn's "love" with no facts. However, not only are they wrong, they do exactly what they accuse of us. I looked at a pearlshipping video on YouTube and at least 75% of the comments were all from Pokeshippers, saying how their ship is the only true ship and kept ranting about it. I know very few of them out there are sane, but the majority of them just have no common sense whatsoever and can't respect other people's opinions. They just hate everything about the girls except for Misty. I bet they didn't even finish a single series starting from AG.

I realized that if your being rude or mean to them they will be mean back. Most pokeshippers are really nice once you get to know them. But amourshippers on the other hand are just rude I tried to be nice to them but they keep on saying their ship is canon and serena met ash first. But meeting someone first doesn't mean their your best friend. Ash refers serena as the "straw hat girl" so that meant ash never really knew her

I was observing the Pokeshippers and they were being mean to all the Pearlshippers there that were trying to correct them for what they unjustly said about Pearlshippers as a whole. They just listed out facts and got bashed in return. That's not very nice. I have met very few nice Pokeshippers, but most are downright rude to other shippers from what I've seen. Maybe I have yet to meet the other side of them. |
