Now that Hoenn remakes are here, and May is returning in the games, what then?
They might have to find a new voice actress for someone like her. But it's been almost 10 years. Most the audience probably don't care that much about her.

There is little chance of her returning =/ Mega Blaziken has already been introduced and if she gets one too it'll get old and less rare.
I have a theory that she might return with another travelling partner...

To be honest, now knowing Steven's story in the remakes, I think there is a bigger chance that he might make an appearance. He is trying to discover more about Mega Evolution. So it only sounds more logical if he'll make a return.
As for May. I don't see the chances really. It would be great, but there are just many reasons out there why it's unlikely, including her VA.
Besides, it just seems obvious with Steven. It's logical that he'll return, because of the remakes and Mega Evolution, and in AG, meeting Steven was only one time. We get to know him better in XY. Previous Champions made appearances again, Cynthia even directly after DP, so why not Steven too?

Isn't Wallace the new Champion in Hoenn though? It depends on who makes an appearance in XY, if at all. Wallace is known much more for contests, but the point is that Steven and Diantha both have Mega Evolution! (if I'm correct) |

Wallace was stated to be the Champion during his appearence in DP, so Steven being Champion again all of a sudden would be out of place and a continuity error. But it could be explained easily by saying that Steven fought Wallace again and won the Championship back. And it's almost guaranteed that someone will appear. We had the Battle Frontier in Kanto and Kanto Competitions in Advanced Generation for the Gen I remakes, and Lyra appearing in DP for the Gen II remakes.
