So many people write Ash and Dawn off as "best friends" and yet fail to realize how strong that makes their relationship.

This captures precisely why we love Ash and Dawn's best friendship so much. Now people will be like "So what if they're best friends when there's no romance to make them a couple in the first place?" Well guess what? Ash isn't romantic so NO SHIP has mutual romance in the first place. That means the category of romance is out of the question right now thanks to Ash's denseness. The only category for Ash at the moment is friendship and Pearlshipping leads in that department. Think Ash friendzones all of his females? High Touch clearly trumps over the friendzone.
