Prior to my first poem, some of my friends (who were not in my English class) had to write poems as an assignment. That made wonder if I could make a good poem and then I started to have thoughts that rhymed. Another thing is that I took the personality test in September and seeing poet as an ideal career choice for INFP sort of helped I guess. Enough of the minor things; here's how my first poem was created: For a few months, there was this girl I liked who I considered one of my close friends. Unfortunately, she was said because she considers that her life is a mess (to this day, I still don't know why). One day, after school, we were walking in opposite directions in a hallway; she was going to her bus and I was going to the bathroom (I had track practice that day); I happen to look at her and her eyes, which were looking at the ground, and then, right there and then, emotions coursed through my entire body. I couldn't help but feel... sad. I was actually in a good mood before this and this totally freaked me (the second thing that freaked me out the most in my entire life) because I never felt this experience before. The next day, I mentioned this experience to a few of my friends and one of them said that it sounded like it should be in a poem. So that night, while brushing my teeth, I looked at the mirror and wondered if I could make a poem out of that experience. Words started to form into lines and by the time I thought about the last four lines, I couldn't help but write it down: The Point of No Return [1] 12/4/14
We all hold a story Some say, some lie When I see you I say hi You might not want to say But to you, its a sad day You lie and smile and say its fine But your eyes say it all Tears start to fall Hitting the floor You wish no more You look for someone who cares It's truly unfair Thinking you're alone and in despair The mouth that is yours Words try to come out Unable to speak; filling up with doubt Your mouth starts to close And start wiping your nose
As your head completely turns, The glass behind you shatters You're in pieces; unable to return Now nothing else matters
I showed a bunch of people (not her initially) and they all liked it which gave me confidence to make more poems. December alone, I made 4 poems. I may have not gotten the girl, but I got the birth of my poetic side at least.
June 26, 2015: Funny thing is that this girl now makes me sick.

Badass Punchline: Some choose to destroy. Others choose to create. Some aid the light. Other ally with darkness, As for myself, I walk the line between the two.

Watashi no Utsukushī Hikari (My Beautiful Light) 7/16/15 I’m just a plant, you are the sun Rising up from far away Brightening up the darkness I hope you will stay Giving off lovely warmth around me Letting me grow and become stronger with your light When I’m with you, I gain energy I know I shouldn’t stare but I can’t help it To me, you will always be bright And always be a beautiful sight For you give me color Even when you’re gone There will be a moon to think about you Piercing the darkness in the sky You are my warm beautiful sun Don’t ever leave me

THIS STANZA. Actually almost made me cry. And I was in a good mood before. Your poems have a really powerful emotional connection.

THIS STANZA. Actually almost made me cry. And I was in a good mood before. Your poems have a really powerful emotional connection. Wow, I never thought I would be able to reciprocate that feeling (from good mood to sadness). That stanza was the only reason I officially made a poem; I liked it so much that I didn't want to forget about it.
Also, I never really mentioned it but all of my poems are being posted here. However, only 8 out of my 11 poems are posted so far. I also have the choice of tagging things and I don't know what to tag especially the pearlshipping ones.
