What does being a shipper mean to you?

Good question. Never really put too much thought into it. Though if I had to say, I guess it means seeing two people that have a really distinct and unique correlation with each other making me feel as if they should be together, not necessarily for the romantic side, that's not why I ship ash and dawn entirely, but it's about 25%, but that they can grow, learn and mature with or without each other and still be together. That's why I only ship ash and dawn. High touch says that they will be thinking about each other's smiles no matter where or when. It's just that being a shipper shouldn't only involve looks which is why we have debates with other shippers. So being a shipper is more than just putting two characters together in a romantic situation it lifestyle.

Yeah. Shipping something solely because it looks cute is totally against my principles, personally. I mean, if the two look good together, obviously it helps, but that is not a good enough reason to rest an entire relationship upon. I ship Pearl because out of all the Ash ships out there it deserves to be the one to be fulfilled, not because I think Dawn has a higher claim to Ash than the others, but because it is the embodiment of an ideal relationship between two friends and also a great foundation to a romantic relationship in the distant future. And if the two get together, it shows people that a relationship should be based on mutual respect, support while still maintaining independence within a relationship. It's a case of "I work great on my own" but "I work even better with you".
