Yes, I was listening to Same old love by Selena Gomez when I thought of this banner idea. Serena is left heartbroken after she realizes that her feelings for Ash will remain unrequited since his heart belongs to Dawn. As a change, the banner is through Serena's POV rather than Ash and Dawn's.

yankeeimperialist: Oh hey, enjoy. The fanfic I posted actually diverges from the canon timeline towards the end of XY (the story was conceived in 2014), so you won't need to slog through Sun & Moon or Journeys to enjoy it. But enjoy XY all the same, it's pretty great.
