What if someone said that music doesn't count as Pearlshipping hints because they're not in-anime events?
If the music counted, then Pearlshipping has a HUGE advantage. But without music and the song High Touch, Pearl loses a lot of power.

But without music and the song High Touch, Pearl loses a lot of power. You can't really say music doesn't count. They reflect on the writers' intentions and since it kinda was a canonical song from the creators of the Pokémon anime. You have to ask yourself, "Why was this song written? What was the purpose?" Everything exists for a reason.

Pearlshipping blossomed way before High Touch became a song.
How do you explain Dawn's selfless acts of supporting Ash, even during her low state? Or Ash ALWAYS tries to be there for Dawn, not even thinking of doing other things like training while Dawn performs in Contests?
Pearlshipping didn't need High Touch. They gave that to us just to reinforce Ash and Dawn's friendship and love.

Yes, a song like this wouldn't have been made without a good reason. It's a powerful symbol and describes the strength of their bond in the anime. Without it, one simply would have to look closer to come to pretty much the same result.

How about when dawn dresses up as a cheerleader? No other companion cheered ash during ash during a gym battle. Also if music and posters or anything else that isn't in the anime didn't count, then that means amourshipping is at a huge disadvantage.

All right. But what about "less direct" Ash and Dawn songs such as the movie endings? Can we really claim movie endings as solid Pearlshipping hints? What if someone says that movie endings don't explicitly mention Ash and Dawn and that they just resemble a general couple/person? Or what if the "Kimi no Mune ni Lalala" final DP ending is taken as just any ordinary girl in love? The writers' 'intention', if at all, for the song to be about Ash and Dawn is much less obvious with High Touch.
Well I guess ONE (Movie 11 Ending) actually is a direct reference to Ash and Dawn because it mentions the flower petals, but that's it.

But without music and the song High Touch, Pearl loses a lot of power. I think if they are Rejecting Songs as valid hint for Pearlshipping It just solidify the ship itself. Besides like others said High Touch happened even before the Song Came out (The way they support each other) (Helping Each Other) (High Fives even before the song) It's just actually telling their relationship throughout the series(and their relationship already been there even before the song came out)

Like endlessvoid had said, everything exists for a reason.Hai Tacchi? It shows that Hikari and Satoshi has an amazing and AWESOME friendship.Satoshi may have high fived other people,Hikari may have high fived Haruka, but Satohika's high five is special. This duet proves it.Saying that Hai Tacchi isn't a hint because its not in the anime is just being ignorant.Hai Tacchi was even a Japanese Opening for Pocket Monsters.Hikari+Satoshi=Special bond.Satohika 5ever!
PS: This is Megumi and Rica's duet.LIVE.(Hai Tacchi comes after Rica singing Satoshi's theme)

People they can't just dismiss songs!!! They part of the main anime!!! In the worst senario they erase parts of anime's history!!! But it doesn't matter because Pearlshipping can stand out without backup because it doesn't need any help!!!! It has personality!!! And when you know who you are, you don't afraid anything!!! So be strong my friend!!! Have faith to Pearlshipping!!!!
