The first thing I will point out from the site is this screenshot right here: Melody uses this as confirmation that Misty is actually 10. Unless there is some other information, however, I believe this suggests otherwise. It is known that many 1 to 2 yr olds have bad mornings too. Furthermore, Misty could not have remembered what it was like when she was born, so what this REALLY proves is that Misty is a little older if not much older than 10. The point here is that Misty is in fact older than Ash, not the same age. Besides, Misty was already a gym leader and had a variety of Pokémon upon meeting Ash.

Here's another thing:

So apparently two of Misty's slaps were actually edited out of the dub. But why?
- If it was for censorship purposes, then this shows just how brutal Misty is. - If it was done in the name of Pokeshipping, then for some reason the dub thought this meant Misty hated Ash. (also brutality) "Slapping = feelings" also may have not been considered by the dubbers - If it was done for brevity purposes, then it makes you wonder why this part of all the scenes was edited out. (Extremely unlikely, but if the dub didn't like Pokeshipping then I suppose editing this out would make sense too)
The site writer's point of this, however, was to show Misty's feelings for Ash. But now, the one-sided Misty hints have to find their way around Serena's "100% canon crush". |

That can't really confirm Misty's age. It could have been some figure of speech or whatever it's called these days. 10 years ago, I woke up this morning and noticed I took a crap. Yeah, thanks Misty. No, that's a lewd example. But an example nevertheless.
Yeah, Misty slapping Ash from those 2 episodes.. kind of changed my liking of Gakishipping. Oh it was good when it started, but watching them in their original creations questioned me "Why did I like this in the first place?". I wasn't very interested in it from that time, but man. I used to like this pair?

But unless Misty started her journey early, I won't accept Misty being the same age as Ash, especially since she's gym leader. And yeah, I don't think any girl has slapped Ash as much as Misty. It wouldn't be an understatement to say that Pokeshipping has a lot of negative feelings and hate involved when looking at Ash and Misty's relationship. |

Why do I have this thought of Misty's action towards Ash translated to the providers (Pokeshippers)? I mean, they're very offensive on this, kind of like Misty's temper.

Haha I guess that means shippers take from their ship XD I don't know what it was like back then, but I do know that Pokeshippers were very harsh on rival ships during the AG and DP saga. For some reason, I haven't seen much from Pokeshippers in terms of their supporting ever since Serena appeared on the scene. I wonder why. And as for Misty's age, I heard from some places that she was 12. I would be fine with 11 months older though, at the very least I guess. Yeah, this needs further research either way. Here's an amusing way to look at it. Since Pokeshipping involves jealousy, the Pokeshippers are also jealous! XD |

Yeah, I forget where exactly that Misty being 12 was stated. It's probably a dub thing which I think was written from Wikipedia. Not sure if they've changed it.

I had a look at the list, but I'm not really impressed. As much as I'm loathe to admit it, I still like Misty more than Serena, despite her violent tendencies. At least she had a goal and didn't take dozens of episodes to become somewhat useful.
