-Read more at the CreepyPasta Wiki I don't know how true this stuff is. There is much more information on CreepyPasta (http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Lavender_Town_Syndrome). I personally chickened out: I only listened to the edit. And that got me rocking to & fro on my seat staring at nothing, my mind filled with the very creepy music. Though that was probably the placebo effect. I never listened to the original, I don't intend to anytime soon either! Listen to this & what do you think? It seems as though the edit has been deleted (noooooooooooooo)

Wouldn't you think that such mass suicide would have made INTERNATIONAL headlines before it was discovered that Lavender Town was the cause of it? Have you ever found a news article about it by a credible news source? It is true that the high frequencies present in the original Lavender Town theme could only be heard by children and young teens, but it wasn't the cause of mass suicide. This Creepypasta, although popular, just doesn't have the evidence to make it plausible or real. It's just something interesting to think and read about. In other words, Lavender Town Syndrome never happened.

Peak in suicides, not mass suicides. More people died over that time, rather than all at once xD ! No I haven't actually found evidence that this is any true but it's still creepy, I mean the song. If it were true, then the peak would be slight, I'd think. The cause... yeah that would be down to someone's skepticism. Still, this being a Pokémon forum, the Lavender Town Syndrome would have to be mentioned eventually.

True. But such a peak in that age range would get international attention, and as I have stated, there is no evidence that such a peak took place. Lavender Town is just plain creepy and unsettling as it is already, though. XD

However, there was a 12-year old that stabbed someone 19 TIMES just because of Creepypasta. Creepypasta is just there to be, well, creepy. The most Lavender Town can do to you is give you a headache from the original Japanese high pitched music.
This is just the Lavender Town Syndrome. The Coma Theory and Gary's Raticate (was that Creepypasta?) haven't even been brought up yet.

Of course all the suicides are fiction, however from firsthand experience, I will tell you this song gives major headaches. I'm not sure about you guys, but I get pretty sick listening to this. Nothing like feeling suicidal though xD And Finesse, I just want to let you know that IS the original An experiment was conducted by placing the original cartridges of red and green with the music synced, and there was absolutely no difference.

I usually like creepy/sad music, but I never really enjoyed this one. Maybe because I absolutely hate headaches, but it also didn't really creep me out.
