I'm going to be real here. N o offense, but I'm not entirely sure about this whole new forum idea. Doesn't seem like something that couldn't be done right here, besides the more fleshed out sub-boards for other Non-Pokémon related things?
I've been to (moderately sized) forums for years and have seen people split off and create their own for many different reasons. From something mild like they just wanted to theme it around more specific things to something more immature like they wanted to be the ones in charge. Most of these die off really quick. Of course, I've seen some work for at least a few months to a few years. In some cases, the people they got to join just revert back to the first forum afterward; in other cases, they're never heard from again. --I don't foresee the latter happening here, considering your new forum is in the same theme as this one. My point is, in my experience, these new forums that pop up have divided members between two or even three different ones, thus making each of them have less engagement overall.
Which brings up my next point... It would feel a bit weird to just abandon ship -so to speak- when I haven't even really given this place a proper shot yet. A lot of my posts here so far have been mostly greeting new members when they come. I thought I was done bringing this up, but here we go again: The reason I haven't been posting all over the place here is because I'm currently trying to watch through the entirety of the Pokémon anime first. It's been over ten long years of accumulating episodes and movies online as they come up, all because I didn't want to wait an entire week (or more) just to watch one episode at a time, and now I'm finally doing it. All the while though, I was avoiding everything Pokémon anime-related like the plague. The major points of the anime have been spoiled to me already (of course), but it's really about the journey not the destination, so I'm still good... Right now, I'm still trying to avoid things if I can until I'm completely caught up.
Having said all that, this is my final point: I won't be very active on your new forum, just as I haven't been posting too much here, because of that reason. I will join, but just know that.

This ^^^^ Now so this isn't just a one word comment, I will respond to your points (original text from auda in quotes): "I've been to (moderately sized) forums for years and have seen people split off and create their own for many different reasons. From something mild like they just wanted to theme it around more specific things to something more immature like they wanted to be the ones in charge. Most of these die off really quick. My point is, in my experience, these new forums that pop up have divided members between two or even three different ones, thus making each of them have less engagement overall." Exactly, and I don't think it is the issue with this board, just that forums themselves are (sadly) dying. I seen a similar concept happen with Discord servers in the past, and all it does is create drama. "It would feel a bit weird to just abandon ship -so to speak- when I haven't even really given this place a proper shot yet. A lot of my posts here so far have been mostly greeting new members when they come." To be fair, I have been here far longer, but these days I just greet people as well. I have learned and grown much since I was very active, and realized online, when something (like a trend or meme) dies, life just moves on, and no matter what you do, it would be never be at the peak it once was, and you gotta accept that. "I thought I was done bringing this up, but here we go again: The reason I haven't been posting all over the place here is because I'm currently trying to watch through the entirety of the Pokémon anime first. Back when this forum was open, most of us active people were much younger, and therefore had more time to be active here. As people grew older, they have more responsibilities, and therefore less time to be active on stuff online like forums. For me, this is true, and I have other priorities now. (Sidenote: I haven't been active in AniPoke communities for a while. These days it is a drama filled mess from what I see on people debating what is best/blindly hating things) "Having said all that, this is my final point: I won't be very active on your new forum, just as I haven't been posting too much here, because of that reason. I will join, but just know that." I personally won't be joining. I been trying to cut my online presence due to one of my accounts being hacked, which woke me up to not be everywhere and sign up for everything. I also (like I stated previously) don't have as much time to be here anymore, and other forums in general. With all of that stated tho, I wish you luck on the new forum

Basically just enjoying the steady pace of watching these Pokémon episodes and other things throughout the day. I mean, if I'm not playing video games, I'm just watching YT or whatever. I'm pretty much online all day-- That's why I'm looking forward to finishing up these episodes (also being sad about that) so I can come here and necro a bunch of old threads lol. I also have other things I wanted to share anyway, but that is a story for another day.
Also, I can't imagine following AniPoke communities since I've been avoiding it all for years, but considering how much hate surrounds the games sometimes... Like em or not, people are on your case either way. Though, the internet has mostly always been like that for everything, so maybe it's not actually too bad since I'm used to it all. I do like to follow into hype for some reason, but then again, I like to watch the dub so I'll always be way behind and it'll all just end up being spoilers...

From what I saw, this (Pearlshipping Vault) forum is easier to navigate and use. All around looks better.
