OK, this sounds like me and my friends debate. I think Pearlshipping, but before you think I'm just saying that, When choosing witch I pay attention to the way ASH acts and reacts to things that both Serena and Dawn do. While he does care about Serena, same with other traveling girl companions, he actually seems to like Dawn!!!! For example, when she was angry and sad after one of her contests, you could tell from his face he really wanted to help, even when Brock stopped him. I'm not stopping anyone who doesn't put Pearl on the top, but other than after the kiss, Ash has little to no reaction to Serena at all!!!!! And frankly, who WOUNDN'T react after being kissed like that?!

Yeah before Unova if Ash has any brown in his eyes then you knew he was feeling something pretty intense. It’s one of my favorite hints! The kids was something to say the least. But I’m kind of bias cause I dislike Serena as a character even with the crush aside. I think matured Ash needed something like that to even comprehend relationships though

Strangely, he reacted the same when he always got kissed on the cheek, which was like a confused look. Dawn he always seem to be more in tune with her than any of the other pokegirls.

Yeah, Ash kinda had no reaction way to Serena all throughout. Kinda deadpan if you ask me. Whereas when he was with Dawn, he actually looked like he cared, especially when during Dawn's losing streak.

JohtoFesta: Nesh I'll say! I love how Pearl comes out on top no matter what. The writers respecting Dawn and her best-friendship with Ash even to this day is AMAZING. This is what she deserved. It makes sense she'd be the one to be there for him. This is all I wanted
