Please correct me if I am wrong, but Satoshi introduced only Hikari to a famous person like Mikuri. Hikari was also the only girl about whom Satoshi talked in details at first to Haruka, later to Iris and Dent. As for especially Mikuri and Haruka, it looked like Satoshi was very eager to help Hikari overcome her two contest losses. And in both cases his introduction was an unexpected suprise for her. If it was his unique behaviour around a girl up to now, it was neither a friendship, nor he was dense - it was due to his sincere love for Hikari.
And she is the only girl to whom he talked about the most of all his past and present (up to the time of BW2) regular travelling companions (Kasumi, Haruka, Masato, Iris, Dent). Why and what for would he do that, especially about Masato (he knew Haruka was travelling to Sinnoh alone)? Have we seen Satoshi speaking about the most of his past companions to Iris, Serena, Mao or Lillie? If no, it was also his unique behaviour, so Hikari was special to him.

Ash has mentioned other companions for sure. Misty has been mentioned in AG and DP. May was mention off-screen in DP. But there are reason as to why Dawn’s are a bit more important. Ash has referenced her and what he learned with her more than any other female companion and in, in Dawn’s cameo, Iris states “So YOU’RE the Dawn that travelled through Sinnoh with Ash!”. It wasn’t said with a questioning tone so that alone is something to pick up on, but she also said “So YOU’RE” which implies Ash has talked very highly in regards to her. *There’s also his desire to have her approval and whatnot but I feel that falls under a different category*

Has Satoshi ever mentioned to any PokeGirl except Hikari a past main character that she wasn't bound to meet and didn't meet at all? (in Hikari's case it was Kasumi and Masato) Speaking of 'speaking highly', it applied for Hikari too. Take, for example, the moment when she talked about Satoshi in such way to Monica in the episode in which she caught an Urimoo. But Satoshi's attitude is more important since rival ships consist of him too.

I’m not too certain as for Iris, especially since Kalos tried so hard to disassociate with past regions, but she wasn’t much of a favorite so I have no real input. As for Serena well we’ll have to wait and see because a tweet was out out a while ago by a Pokémon director (if that’s what you’d call them idk) about how Sun and Moon isn’t a legitimate continuation of Satoshi’s story. It’s in Japanese obviously but I had the admin review it too since she’s smarter than I am and it is what it actually says. Not to mention I haven’t watched Sun and Moon at all either so I, again, don’t have much input. As for the Hikari mentioning Satoshi, it’s interesting and I fully agree. It was just like 3am when I wrote most things so I didn’t have everything organized in mah brain.
