What if the writers are actually doing the same Pokeshipping denial they did in DP right back at us with Amourshipping? It's a long way off, but what if it was true? This is mainly from the episode "Fish the Golden Magikarp!", or XY22. The Piplup reference is equivalent to Misty's lure. In DP, Pokeshippers thought they were still alive because of that hint. But as we all seem to know, Ash and Dawn sank their ship as the series progressed. Now take a look at XY and parallel the two fishing scenes. They could be teasing Pearlshippers in the very same way. What if Poke's outcome foreshadows Pearl's? I am hoping and am confident that this is not the end for Pearl, and there is much reason to believe this. Ash and Serena haven't seen Luvdisc yet and I hope they don't see any while in Cyllage. A lot of fish Pokémon including Alolomola (prob spelled wrong) were shown, but Luvdisc was remarkably left out. Plus, Misty had no chance to return after AG; Dawn's chances to return are actually increased by the Piplup. At the end of XY22, Ash and Serena threw their hands in the air in a high five style manner. If this goes with my foreshadowing theory (that I don't accept even though I wrote it), He, Let's face it, high fiving is not a "Ash and Dawn thing" anymore. If it was, Ash wouldn't do it with Serena. No matter what you say, it can't be helped. High touch, anyone? One high five does NOT link it back to High Touch. High Touch is not a song only about Ash and Dawn's high fives, it's about how close they are to each other. A simple high five between Ash and Serena cannot compare to High Touch.

It's not the high fives, I could care less. Ash and Korrina high fived, Ash and Casey (OS) high fived, even Ash and Misty high fived, so who cares?
It's the nature of the high fives that matters. It's how intimately close they get when doing them. It's how the high fives warm their hearts each time. It's how they become exclusive partners and have a bond not many others can achieve in terms of closeness.
High fiving may not be an exclusive Ash and Dawn thing, but the High Touch certainly is. Both Ash and Dawn singing about each other? Yep, that's an Ash and Dawn exclusive. They also love each other's smile very much. Ash and Dawn are the only couple to say "As long as we are together", and that's from more than just high fives. Sure, the symbol used for it is commonplace, but the bond they have is not. High fives or not, what Ash and Dawn has can never be matched.
So who cares about high fives? The song High Touch is where it's really at, just as endlessvoid said.
Can you imagine a song about Ash and Korrina, Ash and Misty, Ash and Casey, or Ash and Serena with the High Touch song still in existence? (Coexistence Theory) I'd like to see something top what they did with Ash and Dawn's relationship, and one-sided blushing does not count.

It's kind of weird how their palms would connect if they clearly have their fishing rods in their right hands. I can still prove they didn't high five just from the fishing rods alone. Even if it's not a high five though, I now think they were clearly trying to tease Pearlshipping fans. That's because the Piplup reference was in the same episode, so they would definitely have it mind to make it 'look' like they were high fiving.

Amour shippers think of that as a hint but it isn't . One high five doesn't matter. Ash and dawn did high fives all the time.

High fives can't be counted as a romantic hint for any ship. Be it Pearlshipping or Amourshipping, it dosen't matter.
P.S. From what I know, most Amourshippers didn't count the high five as a hint. They just found it cute, that's all.

Anyways none of the amourshipping hints matter to me(a high five doesn't count) because in 2 or 3 years ash will move on to another region and serena is done with. After Serena's cameo it is "bye-bye serena" till they decide to bring the old characters back.till that happens im rewatching the Pokémon series.beauty and the beach is totally hilarious! btw beauty and the beach is a banned episode of Pokémon.

Or maybe they'd replace Ash with a new Protag?

Or maybe they'd replace Ash with a new Protag? Maybe they'll replace Ash when his voice actor finally retires

Or maybe they'd replace Ash with a new Protag? But usually when they replace the main character,it's usally the former main character daughter/son.
