So after the first season of XY, I felt I was tired of watching Pokémon. The plot was not really developing, it felt too childish, and the only things that were contingent was Serena falling for Ash and Clemont's Science gags. So I stopped and watched other anime.
Now, after XYZ has been out, I got interested in hearing about Ash's Greninja, and watched the Japanese opening. By far, the best Pokémon opening I've ever seen! I've also heard a tiny bit of the plot, and I'm thinking of giving the show another chance.
So my question is, as an anime, is XYZ any good? I'm going to be watching in sub because I prefer Ash's JP voice.

I've fallen out of XY due to work overloading on me. I plan to get back onto it once the time is right. I just finished th Ash VS Clemont gym episode.

Well XY is definitely better than BW and I watched all of that so that's why I'll watch it.

The current state of the show is that in terms of ratings it's doing worse or just as bad as BW. Its ratings now have either stabilized, slowly depreciating or have sunk. While before, they still were in the top 10 from time to time, now most of the time their ratings are so abysmal, somewhere around 2.3-3.2, that they most often don't appear in the top 10 rated anime shows. When will they start listening to their fans rather than shoving stuff that they don't want to see in their faces?

I think that in some parts was realy good in some others was very bad!!! In my opinion the good parts were the battles, some of the new Pokémon and Clemont`s inventions!!!! The bad things were Serena`s crush and the showcases!! If you see it as a pokefun you won't have any problem!!! If you see it as a shipper then you might have problem!!!! It's up to you to decide if it's good or not!!!! Probably you would have already see it but I couldn't make myself not to tell all this!!! I hope that you enjoyed the show!!!!
