One thing I fear is that if they were to meet, and when Serena notices Pearlshipping, she might ask Ash and Dawn for one eventually. Considering how Serena replaced May and Dawn gave May a high touch, I wouldn't be surprised if Dawn did it with Serena.

That will be....sad I guess.... Dawn's high fives with May were yelling GIRL POWER but Ash and Dawn's high fives held deep meanings hence high touch. Serena and Dawn's high fives won't show anything, just two friends high fiving.

I literally cannot understand why Amourshipping even got so popular, I mean the "backstory" of Serena and Ash is pretty much irrelevant and was just an excuse for her crush on him, leaving aside the fact that I really dislike Serena(call me a hater if you want) I still don't understand why so many people support it,if, 80% of it is blushes, 10% clickbait and maybe just the other 10% actual realtinoship developement.

If you want my opinion Amourshipping became popular cuz of "Romance"

If you want my opinion Amourshipping became popular cuz of "Romance" Yeah, I don't care if people ship it but what I do care is that if they wanted to be a serious romance and develop or make an impact in Ash character, ¿Why do it so badly? They literally just pulled a cliché childhood crush history that you can find in visual novels and made it as base for Serena's crush and after that it hasn't developed that much at least I don't think it has . The moment I watched Serena meets with Ash I simply tought "Pokémon completely run out of ideas" and stopped watching XY series (wich i'm actually thankfull because of the whole Kalos League Finals fiasco). I dunno, i guess is partly because I disliked Serena but I can only see her as a walking trope to drawn old fan's and newcomers attention to the series.

I guess the older fans want their hero to find a girlfriend by the easiest way...i really enjoyed watching xy/xyz series not beacause of Serena but because the Mega evolution, the Team Flare Arc. , and i was waited for 3-4 f***ing years to watch a good Pokémon anime after DP because BW sucked bad...

That will be....sad I guess.... Dawn's high fives with May were yelling GIRL POWER but Ash and Dawn's high fives held deep meanings hence high touch. Serena and Dawn's high fives won't show anything, just two friends high fiving. Well most people would have thought that May wouldn't get along well with Dawn but Dawn did it anyway because she's female Ash. Serena just wouldn't be an exception, even though Amourshippers want her to either ship Amour or enter a cat fight with her. Which is unrealistic, given how the writers want to make it kid friendly. So Serena might as well be displaying girl power with Dawn in some form. I mean with the way their characters are designed, it's inevitable that they would eventually meet up one day and probably end up becoming close friends. Yeah, I don't care if people ship it but what I do care is that if they wanted to be a serious romance and develop or make an impact in Ash character, ¿Why do it so badly? They literally just pulled a cliché childhood crush history that you can find in visual novels and made it as base for Serena's crush and after that it hasn't developed that much at least I don't think it has . If you want my opinion Amourshipping became popular cuz of "Romance" Yeah, I don't care if people ship it but what I do care is that if they wanted to be a serious romance and develop or make an impact in Ash character, ¿Why do it so badly? I dunno, i guess is partly because I disliked Serena but I can only see her as a walking trope to drawn old fan's and newcomers attention to the series. They could have brushed it aside for the rest of the series, since it started out as a simple crush that can be ignored or treated as a joke. But then they decided to give her a haircut and make it as though as if Serena is becoming more and more obsessed with Ash, especially since she had episodes devoted to her falling deeper in with Ash. I don't think they came up with it as they went, they probably planned it years before, maybe as long as since DP was planned. I mean if they weren't going to abandon it eventually, then why would they even push it? That said I'm neutral to it and can see the underlying point behind it, but I tend to dislike most of those who ship Ash with Serena because they tend to breathe down peoples' necks and force Amour down their throats. There's been very little relationship development, but Amour has its own other glaring flaws most Amourshippers fail to notice. Even Pearlshippers are aware of its main flaws, despite being almost everything that Amourshipping wishes itself to be in a way. Again which is why there is the Candy Girl vs High Touch comparison. I mean they could have had Dawn in Kalos but would that make sense? Maybe at the end, but I doubt that she would have been at the start. So they probably must have had Serena there for a good reason, and being shipping bait itself isn't going to increase ratings or popularity in the long term.

Agree, i see a lot of Amourshippers treating Dawn like it was nothing to Ash and i hate when i hear that Serena did this and Serena did that to Ash and the other pokegirls were in its shadow...the reason that she cut her hair was about the lost in her first performance and wanted something new to her ordinary style...I don't think Dawn would appear in the end...She wanted to go to Kanto with Ash but will she do that???
