Dawn's Piplup was specifically loved and worshipped because of it's personaility though. The love for Dawn's Piplup could mean she'll return again

Definitely. The only Pokémon that are really loved in the series are Ash's Pikachu and Dawn's Piplup. Misty, May and Iris never really had that, although you could say Iris' Axew, but that one never was that popular.

I think that Dawn's Pokémon are more loved than any other poke-girls Pokémon. Her Pokémon are pretty famous :3 Misty was acknowledged as a trainer because she own's a gyrados. May because of her Blaziken. However, Iris is not as skilled as them. It's because of her highly trained excadrill and already evolved Dragonite that she received the ounce of respect she has -_-

Dawn has a special bond with her Pokémon.
I'm sure she's the only poke-girl that has her Pokémon compete for her attention because they love her so much.
Don't get me started on Iris's Dragonite. She did NOT deserve it -.-
