The order of the rankings was pretty obvious, honestly. However, the margin of victory was a lot more than I was expecting.
It's true that Dawn got a lot of screen time, but it wasn't used very well. It seems a bad return is worse than no return at all. Who knows, Dawn is going to return again so maybe it will be better this time. My hopes aren't very high, though.
If or when Serena returns, I get the feeling the popularity votes will become a lot closer. I'm not sure the show is capable of pulling off a satisfying return arc for her and she'd experience the same disillusionment from fans that Dawn evidently did.
