I don't know why I wanted to do this in AC, but here we go. I guess it's because it reminds me of myself. Every time I talk about Pokémon with my friends, I always make sure to mention how awesome Dawn is and even provide a random image (usually by the Japanese artist Hainchu).

Took a few days working on and off.

This is a recreation of a (very old) piece by Endless Rainfall. Which can be found here.

Sorry, it's a bit hard to see what I'm doing with the image taking up a large part of the post screen. Aside from this main image, I'll just provide links for the rest.

It was a bit of a pain to get the camera just right. I really hated the way the bottom left picture (on the back wall) turned out at first. But Dawn looks so smug so I just left it alone. The middle picture I did mostly on my own, since only the topside of it is shown in the original. I thought having Dawn drooling while sleeping would be cute (and I guess a creepy pic for Ash to take for his collection).

References I used:

The left side wall with the contest outfit was a combination of the original and this other Endless Rainfall image.

The right side wall was a combo of the original and yet another Endless Rainfall image.

The "rug" was a combo of the original and a piece by KurumiErika.

This is original fanart by Endless Rainfall. I'll link toward the DeviantArt page once more right here. Apparently it was created in 2009, so happy 11th year!

It was the very first thing I made, and i use it as my town flag...

10. This final one is completely unrelated. I always change my character's look to Dawn (as close as I can) when I finish each Pokémon game. This is from Ultra Sun. I remembered this episode where a Grimer is copying Dawn's poses. Sorry, I took that pic years ago and haven't shown anyone. I am 100% sure it was in a school. Was it the part of the camp episodes?

So that's it. I really hope none of those links are wrong.

Thanks! If there's one thing I have a lot of, its patience. Truth be told, this is actually the reason I joined now rather than later in the year (whenever I finished translating that D&P manga). Just to get this thing out while AC is still relevant. I'm sure people will be playing it until the end of time, but I'm just about done with it myself. Also, I should probably edit in the original fanart onto the first post for a side-by-side comparison..

I meant to do this a month ago. Unfortunately, on top of having patience, I'm also very lazy. Not the best combo. Yesterday was the last chance to do this without messing with the game's time, which I never like to do with these games.

Fireworks! I got the idea to do this from some fanart I linked below.
A month ago, there was an announcement trailer of fireworks, among other things, coming to this game. Around the same time, in the forum chat here, I said I found a DeviantArt post from ten years ago saying there's 3 Pearlshipping days. It just so happened to be a comment on fanart of Pearlshipping day and fireworks; left by the same artist from my other post, Endless-Rainfall. I did look around a bit more elsewhere, with people saying 2 days or 3 and not knowing which days they were. I'm just gonna go with this and say there's three. One for every season besides winter; sorta ironic, as Sinnoh is the cold region of the series. Maybe there should be winter day to keep us all warm?

You'd have to load more comments at the bottom to see the comment I'm talking about. I'll just quote it here anyway, from Endless-Rainfall: "Oh, well actually there are 3 Pearlshipping days I believe O.o One marks when DP premiered in Japan, another marks the DP dub premier, and the other one was to do with the forum thread that decided the days I think..like the date that was made or something."

I'll also just note that, according to Bulbapedia, the first 3 episodes of DP premiered on the same day in JP, while the first 2 premiered in the US. I figured if someone would know about this stuff, it would be someone taking the time to create a bunch of fanworks about it. Especially since, long ago, after wondering "who even comes up with these names?", I myself saw her on another forum brainstorming names with some other people and creating the name "Oystershipping" as well as drawing about 10-20 images of that. So she might have seen that Pearlshipping thread she mentioned herself.

One more pic I took while I was doing this anyway. It was tricky to get them to appear to be holding hands because the characters push each other around when they get close. And with that, I'm probably posting the dirtiest image on the site. im proud

JohtoFesta: Nesh I'll say! I love how Pearl comes out on top no matter what. The writers respecting Dawn and her best-friendship with Ash even to this day is AMAZING. This is what she deserved. It makes sense she'd be the one to be there for him. This is all I wanted

auda: It's finally done. The only things left to do is to re-read it over to make sure I didn't miss anything or left typos. Then lastly cutting the pages in two, where needed, since each image is two pages each. Expect this out within the next few days!
