This thread is for posting new information about Amourshipping that may appear; it can be talk from another forum or info directly based on the XY series's increasing new episodes. If anyone finds anything new, interesting, debatable, or relevant to the development of Amour, please feel free to post it here; the more that can assist with the updates, the better. It can even be general information about a new episode or how an event helped or didn't Amour. As the current series, XY should be discussed not just because of how bad a certain character makes it. Ash does make up one half of Pearlshipping (and many Ash ships for that matter), so it is important to be informed about Ash's character development as travels through Kalos [with Serena].

In fact its kinda funny how so many Amourshippers like this ship along with their previous supported Ash-ship. |
As you can see, many Amourshippers do keep their original ship with them. If a complete turn around happened to Amour, then the shippers could just go back to their old ships. Episode 7 was pretty much the backbone episode of Amour, along with episodes 5 and 6. Some talk about the Premier episode (13 I think) being important, but I think it's just episodes 5-7 where most of this ship is at.

Thanks for doing this thread. With info on XY and the development of THAT ship, it'll be easier to keep you all informed and updated.
We want Pearlshippers to be knowledgeable, determined, and proud to be a Pearlshipper. The tenacity of Pearlshippers means we will not back out of this ship just because of some hints from Amour.
Amourshippers seem to think they are "the universal ship" just because of a few blatant, one sided hints. Don't feel peer pressured into shipping Amour just because "everyone else is doing it". They say their ship is, and I quote, "virtually canon". It's not.
I'd like to think Pearlshipping is still the ship I joined 5 years ago. A ship with reason, strength, and most importantly, determination.
Keep us updated with XY and Amour. We won't lose morale.

Amourshipping/XY Update
Here is an update on everything Amour/XY related at this time. I know the movie trailers and episodes are all watchable on Youtube.
I. JP - XY18 Last week's episode in Japan was the 18th episode of the series, so there is still a long way to go. In this episode Ash and friends must wake up a Snorlax in Camphrier Town and they must find the Pokeflute in order to wake it up. The Amour "hint": Serena and Bonnie whispering in secret about a plan involving Clemont, and it is romance related because they know that the "thief" really likes Clemont. When Ash is confused with a "huh", Serena throws a wink at Ash (in a way she feels the same about him). Ash is obviously dense so he didn't get it. The real kicker is Clemont; he was the entertaining part for the episode's other half and now we know that girls can actually like him.
Compared to Pearl: Dawn winks just as much at Ash as Serena. In the BW cameo, however, Ash actually winked backed; this really says something. Whenever Dawn had a secret, Ash was really wanting to know. Though there was Ash denseness in DP, Ash didn't really care that Serena knew something Ash didn't.
I have to say that it would be better for Ash to stay dense in XY. Then he will care about Serena even less if she doesn't get a goal.
II. US - XY 7 This was probably THE prime Amour episode if not one of them. In this episode, Ash asks Serena into the group and she accepts as they head back to Lumiose City to get to Cyllage. Then Serena hands back Ash's hankie and then the all too famous flashback of the two plays on. Serena has to train Ash for a Rhyhorn race, so it feels like Ash is a noob student. But the race is a complete waste of an episode and practice as the race itself lasts no time at all with Team Rocket getting in the way. Ash is binded by ropes, but Ash's friends conveniently save him and the Rhyhorn. At the end, they meet Serena's mom and Serena gives Ash cookies in which he completely ignores Serena's blushing and gratitude towards Ash. Plus, Ash was overly obnoxious about telling Serena's mom about the simple things Serena taught him, just like the little kid Iris called him from BW.
Compared to JP version: -Changed Serena's reason for coming so far after Ash finally remembers: in the US version the word "nostalgia" is taken out. -I might be wrong, but it seems they took out the part where Ash says something about Serena looking good too. Clemont was the only boy to complement Serena to which she said thank you -Serena's voice when talking about the bakeries and botiques in Lumiose City is scratchy and annoying. It made me feel like the "cartoon" treated me like a little girl or a very wrong-minded man.
Compared to Pearl: Though Serena was the first one to be asked by Ash, Dawn was the first one to ask him straightforward. Serena had to be around Ash long enough in Santalune, and it was more of a forced obligation by the writer anyways.
III. Serebii Forums: Literally the Amourshippers there are just waiting for hints. They take notice of small things, but other than that they talk about predictions, future hints, other ships, and waiting. The thread is also pretty overrated with the most posts/views. Like every other ship, the Amours also want a version of High Touch for Ash and Serena, but we all know that's not going to happen. The next episode doesn't come out until next week, but the Malamar in it looks cool.
IV. Movie 17: Cocoon of Destruction (and Diancie) is the next installment of the Pokémon movie series, and it comes out in the summer of this year. It features 3 legendaries and 12 mega evolutions, which is quite impressive for a movie. I just hope that the cool Pokémon take home more of the movie than the people. Nevertheless, expect at least one Amour hint if not more. (Taking out the shipping would be cool though.)
V. Release dates: Finally here are release dates for upcoming XY anime things:
-JP XY 19: 3/13 XY 20: 3/20 XY 21: 3/27
-US XY 8: 3/8 XY 9: 3/15 XY 10: 3/22
Movie 17 JP: 7/19/14

I found this fanart posted on serebii; it's an Amour fanart so it wouldn't belong elsewhere. fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2014/063/9/6/pikamour_by_hikariangelove-d78xh8x.pngIt's just an 'ugh' picture. For one, it shows that Serena is the only side in this and that she even needs Pikachu to help her (which he doesn't). In fact, it's basically what Amour is; Serena getting too close and Ash backing off in a dense way.

Good point. I'm sick of people calling Amour canon before the first movie -_- Don't they notice that Serena is actually trying(begging in my case) to seduce Ash and get his attention? Where as Dawn only needed to be herself and focus on herself to get his attention. I don't get how winking at a boy and blushing at him responds to the pair being sole-mates XD Honestly Amour-shippers, you need to get a life. This is technically what every girl does when they have a crush. Girls blush and try to get his attention(which Ash comically denies XD). Plus, why has every body forgotten about Dawn giving Ash's Pokémon poffin's? She doesn't give Ash her poffin's(which Serena did) Ash comes to get it himself. Which indicates that her(as in Dawn's) cooking has pleased Ash in such a way that he is coming to get it himself. Need anymore sane explanation anti-pearlshippers? Proof that Pearl looks better(not my art):

I have to agree that Serena trying to get Ash's attention is really all it's about.
UPDATE: Four new characters have been revealed for the movie: Marilyn (Delphox), Mills (Chesnaught), Ninja (Greninja), Argos.
This is highly similar to how the 3 trainers in Rise of Darkrai had final evolutionary forms; maybe in this movie they are trying to do the same. But Ash, Dawn, and Brock have already pulled this card, so XY's idea is unoriginal unless they are to affect the movie's Diancie.
In fact, the entire Gen 6 may try going back to DP's formula.
There are so many characters (Pokémon) in this movie, hopefully it swamps up all the possible Amour hints, which will probably only be Serena hints anyway.
Xerneas Yveltal Diancie Mega Charizard X Mega Charizard Y Mega Scizor Mega Blaziken Mega Absol Mega Gaardevoir Mega Mewtwo X Mega Mewtwo Y Mega Venusaur Mega Blastoise Mega Lucario Mega Garchomp Ash Serena Bonnie Clemont Marilyn Mills Ninja Argos 1st form starters (just like in AG) Dedenne And obviously Pikachu

UPDATE: XY 8 came out today in the US, and since I still keep track with the show, I watched it. It really was the worst episode out of the first 10; the first ten episodes had development in each one with this one being the only filler.
Plot: Jessica, a groomer, can't get her Furfrou to listen to her. Like always, Furfrou finally listens because of Team Rocket's actions in trying to steal it.
-Serena had basically no care of Ash in this episode; she "fangirled" over Jessica and a male master groomer (forgot name). - For some reason Ash looked directly at Serena and said "we've been here before". When he did say that, Serena completely ignored him for the groomers. -Apparently Serena asked Bonnie about her wife antics when Bonnie "proposed" to Jessica. They showed the next walking scene right after Bonnie responded, so we do not know from this episode if Serena understands Bonnie yet. -Serena let her Fennekin get taken away by Team Rocket for half the episode. That's not cool, even Clemont and Bonnie helped when Serena was keeping a still happy face at Ash's battle. It would've helped Serena to have more battling experience, but the less she is helped the better. -Ash and Team Rocket showed off their elite battling skills. But we already know they can battle.
Amour hint at end?: At the end, Serena was saying "It must be really nice to have something you can really be passionate about". Of course, Ash had to say "huh" and not get anything, but that's ok if it's with Serena. The animators made it seem like an Amour hint, but really it's just an ironic Serena being a main part of the show while basically doing nothing. It's not an Amour hint.
Don't watch this episode, it is not necessary. All the first 10 episodes do something for the show except for this one. They won't even use this CotD again.

Something I've been curious about. Is Amourshipping even popular in Japan? I know that Pearlshipping was pretty popular, but right now most of the Amourshippers I know live in the US or other countries.

I think Pearlshipping is the MOST popular ship in Japan, but apparently Amour is catching up in terms of popularity.
