Can I just say... Ash's new art style looks terrible. They should have just kept him the way he looked in XY & Z. This looks like another attempt at a reboot wherein the seasons of character development gets undone and Ash reverts to being a noob :-( True. And he appears to be doing some sort of weird DANCE. I haven't seen the trailer for the sun & moon anime yet so I don't know the deal yet but judging by the cover its either some karate/ninja move or a dance move... I was told it was a "Z move", like the Pokémon Z move. It seems the company are making everyone's hair less pointy. Regardless of art style, I don't mind if he's a noob as long as Serena isn't there. If she isn't there I will actually mildly celebrate. And follow the new anime.

The half I did watch was because of the mega evolutions.

If she isn't there I will actually mildly celebrate. And follow the new anime. The series looks deceptively kiddy at first, but looks can deceive. I think it might become progressively grimmer and darker as it goes on. Knowing how Team Skull are the eventual good guys and the Aether Foundation starts out being seen as good, but who knows that they're doing behind closed doors. And Lillie is connected to UB-01. I actually don't think the Alolan characters are memorable, aside from Lillie so they'll get a Cilan/Iris treatment in the end, except they won't be hinted to be in another cameo. I honestly do think they're saving Dawn and Serena for later. Heck, while I don't think the Lumiose siblings will get their special episodes (I just think they're finished until Kalos gets revisited again), I think Serena will get her own special episodes since she still feels unfinished. If anything, if Brock and Cilan have their own special episode in Johto, I'm guessing they are hinting at a possible Serena and Dawn special episode in some region like Sinnoh or Kalos, or whatever. They just don't fit in Alola, no where do they come in the picture. But I don't think the Alola arc would last very long though. Sinnoh and Johto are just different than Alola. And then Ash wins the league when or maybe before 3d Kanto remakes are out. I think Cilan will get another cameo episode, I think Iris will get another cameo episode, I think Serena will get a special episode or two (maybe even her meeting with Dawn which could lead up to future arcs, since Brock met Cilan in Johto). But Clemont and Bonnie? I doubt it since Clemont is now a full time gym leader. From what I think, they might set up a second Johto arc sometime after Alola, where Ash gets to meet Cilan, Iris and Brock again in cameo episodes. I'd love for Brock to become a recurring character. Maybe May if she gets a new VA. As for the Alolan characters: Lillie is the female version of N with Dawn's body structure Mallow is like Iris + Cilan, more like Cilan in terms of type specialization. She's also a cook but is known to have peculiar tastes Sophocles is like Clemont, an electric type specialist Lana is like Brock + Misty, she specializes in water types but takes care of her little sisters as the oldest one Kiawe is a unique character

I don't want Dawn- or any of his former companions for that matter- to meet up with Ash in his Alolan form.

Version Exclusive Pokémon and New Features Revealed in Sun and Moon Today a brand new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon was dropped and revealed some new version exclusive Pokémon within. First up we have the two forms of Lycanroc (known as Lugarugan in Japan), who is the evolved form of Rockruff. Rockruff evolves into the Midday form or the Midnight form depending on the game in which it evolves in. Midday form is exclusive to Pokémon Sun while the Midnight form is exclusive to Pokémon Moon. Both forms are Rock types and can have the ability Keen Eye. The Midday form can also have the Sand Rush ability, while the Midnight form can have the Vital Spirit. Next up we have Passimian, who is a Fighting type and can only be found in Pokémon Sun. Passimian has a brand new ability known as Receiver, which allows it to inherit the ability of an ally who has fainted in battle. Finally, we have Oranguru, who is exclusive to Pokémon Moon and a Normal / Psychic type. It has the ability Inner Focus or Telepathy. Along with the new Pokémon two new Z moves have been revealed which are exclusive to Pikachu and Eevee. Pikachu's Z move is known Catastropika and is said to be Pikachu's most powerful attack. Meanwhile, the exclusive Z move for Eevee is known as Extreme Evoboost and grants Eevee a boost in Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def and Speed.

Good news! Today's Sun and Moon news has revealed that you can get rid of the female trainer's utterly dreadful chicken hat! Trainer customisation has returned from Pokémon X and Y, and seems to have been improved in a big way. Firstly, there's a wider variety of clothing and hairstyles to choose from for both genders, and you can now remove the characters' hats entirely. There's also a cool new feature that allows you to take white items of clothing and dye them different colours, so your trainer can be truly unique. Next up is another feature very similar to one we've seen before. Pokémon Refresh is a new mechanic based on Pokémon Amie from XY and ORAS. In it, you can brush dirt from your Pokémon after battles, cure their status conditions, and feed them Poké Beans, as well as petting them. Like Pokémon that have been interacted with a lot through Pokémon Amie, Pokémon you've cared for a lot using Pokémon Refresh will care more for you, which manifests itself in the same way it did it XY and ORAS – sometimes a Pokémon will dodge an attack it otherwise wouldn't, or hold on when it's on the verge of fainting.

[ That's good! At least something new....AND they can dodge attacks?! You don't know how much it bugged me when I wasn't able to dodge attacks at first.... I guess I'll have to stop calling the female protagonist as chicken hat girl.
