Please help me understand why was Dawn upset after Ash ran to dance at the end of the Croagunk festival?

Embarrassment, most likely. She didn't want to dance, yet he wanted to and went.

How can Hikari deal with Kengo's crush?
She needs to call Princess Salvia, describe that she wants to be with Satoshi, and ask her to invite Kengo. Seeing his contest attires and his battle for a girl makes me think he will not hesitate to become acquainted with the Princess and then, someday may become a Prince.
Kengo may interest Salvia as she is an avid fan of contests and especially Hikari, and Salvia may interest Kengo with the royal life and the mystery of herself. She can also teach Kengo to act as a noble man by letting Hikari go with Satoshi, as she herself gave no less but her beloved Togekiss.
Since Hikari gently let Kengo down and she wasn't travelling with him (at least three times in a row) as he wanted either, may be, Salvia would become a perfect substitution for him.
