Definitely! It would be such a joy to read as well! A full episode analysis for JourneyOn would be very long but we know it will be so detailed! Good job on this, Journey; it was detailed all right! Can't wait to see more! Thanks Nova!

Huh, sorry if I get this old thread alive again out of nowhere, but I have to come in! In 2011, when the page had just started its path, I dedicated a whole section to on-screen DP PearlShippers, with long (loooooooooooooooooong) descriptions, in both italian and english. If you guys are interested, I can post them here too, or give links. Or just a link to the album, or, I mean, what you prefer (I spent so much time on those analysis)!

I've read a lot of them and they're pretty cool. I liked the Jasmine and Kenny ones especially.

Well, spamming my page is not my purpose... I only want to re-discuss all of them with more people, because there wasn't so much activity in 2011! So I'll repost every topic once at a time, giving the time to discuss them here, and in the end I'll share the original link tag for whoever whants to comment on the page too! I wanted to insert it in a spoiler tag but I can't find it, don't know if it's included in this forum. Hope it's a good idea anyway. First of all: whoa, so many memories. The first PearlShipper "card" I made is from september 6th, 2011. More than 3 years have passed away. It makes me happy - and a bit proud - that I can share my thoughts with more and more PearlShipper and still discuss them like it was the first time! Also, I wrote this in both italian (my native language) and english so much time ago. Meanwhile I hope my english got better so, if you notice any grammar / syntax error in the text, don't fear to let me notice it, and I'll fix it in the page too. And I'll improve my knowledge of the english language. Please notice that I always voluntarily refer to Pokémon as males and females, so I use he/she and his/her instead of it and its. I do this because of their importante in the Pokémon series (expecially in the DP generation). Let's-a-start! D&P ON-SCREEN PEARLSHIPPER CARDS N° 1: PIPLUPPiplup is Dawn's starter Pokémon, and the two immediately forge an indissoluble link, exactly like Ash did much time ago with his Pikachu: their stories are very similar, beginning with an antipathy but ending with a perfect union between trainer and Pokémon. Piplup immediately makes friends with Pikachu, a friendship that becomes stronger and stronger in every adventure they have together: the two Pokémon become inseparable friends, and their friendship is the first, real true Pokémon friendship shown from the series' beginning. The little penguin quickly gets used to remain outside the Pokéball exactly like Pikachu: in addiction, as same as Pikachu, he refuses to evolve. He has an incredibly great bond with Ash, and treats him like his second trainer: in "Piplup, Up and Away!", for example, he gets jealous and mad because not only his trainer, but even Ash, don't give him the attention he desires. (New note: in his dream, Piplup wishes about Ash congratulating with Dawn and Dawn blushing in response, I'm referring to the famous "spiral blush" screenshot.) Piplup is the PearlShipper par excellence: he always tries to let them stay together (succeeding, lots of times); when he knows that Ash and Dawn have to separate (during the last episode) he gets totally mad and runs away, then he can't hold tears back and burst out crying, with a melanchony that reunites Pikachu too. Last but not least, he gets even used to exchange the "High fives" with Pikachu, because he has seen his trainer often doing it with... his other trainer.End of the original card. In addition I could say he became a symbol of D&P together with Pikachu, as same as Ash & Dawn did. But I'll talk about it in a fully-dedicated card! Your words now! Well, I don't know how many people will think "Pearlshipping" whenever they see Piplup anywhere in any form, but I do agree that he is one of the staples of Pearl, along with the DP series. Heck, XY didn't ignore the reference when a bunch of Piplups showed on screen (though knowing how the series work nowadays, may be the only time we'll see Piplup again until... later I guess?).

mew151 that's the point! We have to go deeper than the usual, and PearlShipping perfectly fits this desire, as it is strongly radicated in the D&P field. Many details have to be considered in the characters' developments, many things you don't think that could directly relate to PearlShipping. This is why my D&P PearlShippers' collection has both "obvious" PearlShippers and "strange" ones!

Heck, this place needs new activities! Let's bring it on with the next PearlShipper card!! N° 2: ZOEYAsh and Dawn meet Zoey, expert and skilled Pokémon Coordinator, just before the Jubilife Contest: the girl becomes Dawn's main rival in contests in a little time. During her journey, Zoey meets our hereos' group several times, understanding step by step how much Ash and Dawn are close to themselves: during her first appareance, in Jubilife City (DP012), she suggests Dawn to train Ash's Aipom, with a trade. Zoey's the one who organizes everything of Ash and Dawn's Pokémon trade, convincing them that it will be for the best of Aipom and Buizel and that their bond (Ash and Dawn's) will become stronger. During Dawn's trainings, she notices several times that Ash and Dawn share their battle techniques, expecially Ice-AquaJet, that Dawn created when she had Buizel and Ash improved after the trade, to use it during the Wallace Cup. After the Floaroma Contest (DP061), Zoey comes to help Dawn after her loss. But she understands that only Ash is able to cheer her up, and asks him to win the nexy gym battle because “A victory may be the best present you can give Dawn too”: Ash answers he agrees (casually, in the next episode, Ash's “denseness” is able to let Dawn smile...). Right after the end of the Grand Festival she talks with Dawn, inviting her to Snowpoint City; Dawn refuses because she still has a lot of “things to do”: Zoey friendly teases her, ironically asking “...cheering for Ash, right?”, and obtaining a positive answer. Guess this hint is not a little one: Zoey succeeded to obtain sort of a confession from Dawn (about cheering Ash being the purpose to continue her journey)! Well, during the DP series, as she stays often in contact with Ash and Dawn, Zoey was really able to understand their strong bond and she sometimes gave... a little hand!Original thread: goo.gl/g4k5BWMan, I love Zoey... one of the best rivals so far. Strong personality, nice background stories, great functionality to the DP timelines. She has a fantastic design, too; she's very cute imho! And she actually DID help PearlShipping. Thanks there Zoey.
