Amour is more popular than Poke. In Japan, Pearl is roughly neck to neck with Amour. Last I heard there were a lot of pokeshippers in Japan...oh well, I can be wrong. The writers sunk Poke with Orange at the last BW episode.

From what I seen, Pokeshipping isn't as popular due to most of the hints being in the dub only. Pearlshipping and Amourshipping are the strongest/most popular.

I'm worried that certain angry Amourshippers are going to attack the writers once again to the point they have to apologize. Honestly, the writers shouldn't have to apologize in the first place. Pokémon is not about romance.

I'm worried that certain angry Amourshippers are going to attack the writers once again to the point they have to apologize. Honestly, the writers shouldn't have to apologize in the first place. Pokémon is not about romance. They tend to act like some of the worst Pokeshippers. I honestly doubt they're really axing Serena or Dawn permanently. So they should have no need to worry. And the Serena episode title is a trolling title, it's more like their first one on one battle rather than an actual final battle. I just feel that they're saving Serena and Dawn for a final arc, but not for Alola. From what I seen, Pokeshipping isn't as popular due to most of the hints being in the dub only. Pearlshipping and Amourshipping are the strongest/most popular. Not surprising since over in Japan they pushed Pearl in DP and later pushed Amour in XY. The difference is that Pearl is subtle and off-screen, compared to Amour which is in your face and on the screen. They never promoted Advance except for the last AG movie, Poke, Negai or any future girl ship. Promoting a random girl exactly in the same fashion as Dawn or Serena is going to backfire on them. So lucky for everyone, Lillie, Mallow and Lana aren't going to be the new Dawn or Serena.

I honestly doubt that they are really shafting Serena. It just wouldn't make sense given that we've had Dawn referenced or had an indirect appearance almost every year after BW. It's known that Clemont and Bonnie would leave early, but in Serena's case, I think she'll be there at the end, giving her the roughly the same amount of screen time with Ash like the Lumiose siblings. If Serena is in Kanto, then Dawn will return to the series as a cameo appearance. While Serena won't be in Alola, if Dawn returns, both Dawn and Serena would be on their journey off to Sinnoh. And I'm sure Serena would get along well with Dawn, Dawn is basically a female Ash. And Ash didn't come alone to Kalos, so I doubt that he'll leave just by himself. The writers sunk Poke with Orange at the last BW episode. When Prof.Oak told Ash that Tracey was over at Misty's place? If that's what you mean then you're right. To add insult to injury for them, they stated that Tracey is at Cerulean Gym at Misty's invitation. So off screen, Misty moved on from Ash and built a relationship with Tracey. In terms of popularity: the two most popular are Pearl and Amour. Pokeshipping over in Japan is similar to Advanceshipping over there. They're not doing so well. But anyways, if not a reference to Dawn, she'll come back at the end of XYZ. We just haven't seen Serena or Dawn in a more relaxed, comedic setting before. Despite how bad the SM series looks to me, especially Ash. Think their way of offsetting the negativity of SM is just fanservice in the form of Serena and Dawn in Alola as students. Or they just get special episodes.
