Being a fanfiction writer myself, I'm intrugued to know if you guys prefer oneshots or multi-chapter stories. I'm sure all the other writes out there will be interested to know too!
There are pros and cons to each, and feel free to discuss it below!

i enjoy both because sometimes a great idea never plans out for a multi chapter fanbook i call them so a oneshot works well.
I love reading stories over oneshots though i like to sit down and read a 20,30,50 chapter story over a 3,4,10k word oneshot.

Would you rather read something like a 20 chapter unfinished story or an 10k oneshot?

See that is a funny question to me because although I like completion most 10k oneshots I have read leave me wanting more and I know that more isn't coming. At least with a 20 chapter unfinished story there is the potential for an update more. So I say it really depends on the story.

If I have to be honest, I prefer multi-chapter stories. I haven't paid much attention to one-shots. But if I'll read one-shots, then I prefer one-shots around 5000-10.000 words. <4000 is something I don't prefer. It ends too fast. The same counts for two-shots and such.
The reason why I like multi-chapter stories is simply because I'd prefer big stories, with a nice storyline, concept and such. It keeps me busy and it keeps me into the story and excited.

If you're in a rush to go somewhere and want to read a fanfic whilst doing something else, would you rather read halfway through a chapter or finish a oneshot?

Halfway through. I don't mind that. Although, one-shots could be an option....

I don't mind. If they're awesome they're worth every second reading.

I'm bad at reading. Reading is my worst subject.

Flagfic was awesome, I'm really gutted that it no longer supports ff.net. Used to love adding fics to my kindle and listen to them being read out.
